Debateresults --one more new feature
First, if you have been receiving annoying emails about tournaments you are not attending, my apologies and I think I have the bug fixed. If you still receive them, let me know.
Second, I have added the last new feature for this year. The site will let you enter emails for people you want to receive tournament updates -- like the school newspaper, your Chair or Dean, alumni, donors, etc. You can then click one button and have the site generate a press-release style message that includes all your performances at the tournament and, if you wish, includes some basic information about tournament-style policy debate for those who may not be aware of the format (like the student newspaper, Chair, or Dean). You can edit the message any way you wish before you send it.
As unsolicited advise, sending messages like these after every tournament might keep your campus aware of how active your program is. My experience has been that by sending repeated messages many good things happen: the student newspaper gets used to running the stories, the Chair or Dean already have you on the radar when it comes time to publicize the successes of the department, and the sheer volume of awards makes you seem very successful.
It is my hope that this site makes it incredibly easy to publicize your program. After you enter the initial emails, just wait until the CEDA or NDT points post to any tournament you attend and you can send the message out in about 1 minute.
